The Department of Agriculture Science & Technology of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University, Bareilly was established in 2025 for an effective transfer of newly developed crop production technologies to farmers under various crop development schemes for sustainability in agriculture production and productivity.
Since then, the faculty has been progressively gaining new dimensions in all the spheres be it building, good infrastructures, research facilities, faculty, research farms, skill enhancement units, class rooms, laboratories etc. The undergraduate degree programme was initiated in year 2025.
The Post Graduate programmes in different departments of the faculty were started in 2025-26. Presently, faculty is offering under graduate degree programme B. Sc. (Hons) Agriculture.
The Department of Agriculture Science & Technology has the defined objective of imparting quality education, conducting research and performs outreach activities.
Objective of Department
The faculty focuses its strategy on synergizing education and strengthening problem-specific research relevant to the region and help building innovative extension systems for sustainable management of natural resources, sustainable horticultural production and overall improvement of rural livelihoods.
