B. Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture is the four-year undergraduate program focused on the study of Agriculture and its practical applications. A Bachelor of Science in Agriculture provides students with a comprehensive grasp of various aspects of the field, encompassing agricultural production, study of all aspects of soil, animal farming, and agricultural economics. The subjects within the B. Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture program is designed to impart a comprehensive understanding of the principles and methodologies inherent in agriculture. The curriculum of the graduate programme has a practical basis with sound scientific knowledge. A detailed course syllabus and course outline for each course has been developed as per ICAR Sixth Deans’ committee recommendations and approved by board of studies (BOS) and academic council of the university. The students are provided course outlines in the first lecture class, which the concerned instructor covers during the semester. Students are exposed to rural agricultural work experience in their seventh semester, which includes attachment to villages and prominent agro-industries besides Plant Clinic Laboratory and fieldwork.
