Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University, Bareilly, is firmly committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment.
In accordance with the judgments of the Hon’ble Supreme Court, UGC Regulations (2009), and State Government directives, the University upholds a “Zero Tolerance Policy” towards ragging in all forms.
Ragging is a criminal offence. It has destroyed countless lives and careers. Let us unite to build a safe, respectful and inclusive academic environment.

Anti-Ragging Policy & Regulations
MJPRU adheres strictly to the “UGC Regulations on Curbing the Menace of Ragging in Higher Educational Institutions, 2009”, which define ragging as any of the following acts:
- Verbal or physical abuse, harassment, or humiliation of students, particularly freshers.
- Teasing, bullying, or psychological intimidation that causes fear, shame, or distress.
- Forcing students to perform degrading tasks, or acts against their will.
- Preventing or disrupting regular academic activities.
- Financial extortion or undue burden imposed by other students.
- Sexual harassment, obscene gestures, or physical assault.
- Cyberbullying, public insults, or abusive communication through digital platforms.
- Discrimination or exclusion based on race, caste, religion, gender, language, region, or socioeconomic background.
