Established in 1976, the Department of Sports is dedicated to fostering physical
fitness, competitive spirit, and the overall well-being of students. It proudly houses
the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Sports Complex, a premier facility featuring an indoor
stadium equipped for badminton, table tennis, boxing, and wrestling (with grappling
mats), along with a modern, well-equipped gymnasium and a fully functional
physiotherapy centre to support athletes' training and recovery.
The outdoor section of the complex includes a standard athletics track and dedicated
courts for volleyball, basketball, shot put, javelin throw, and other games. The
department regularly organises various training camps to prepare students for
tournaments, and successfully hosts Inter-University, North Zone, and All-India level
competitions.
