About the Department of Applied & Clinical Psychology



The Department of Applied & Clinical Psychology under the Faculty of Education and Allied Sciences was established in the year 1995 and currently under Faculty of Humanities and Advance Social Science (2025). The university has started two years / four semester post-graduate degree programme in psychology during 1996-97 session. Master’s degree in psychology is an advanced course aimed at competence building among the students from a holistic perspective. This course strives both knowledge generation and application in different domains of discipline. The course is unique in its nature having very specialized papers such as Cognitive Psychology, Psychology of Personality , Biological Foundations of Behaviour and Neuropsychology, Applied Social Psychology , Psychopathology , Psychodiagnosis , Methods of Behavioural Research , Developmental Psychology , Organizational Behaviour , Psychology of Learning Disability , Clinical Psychology of Childhood Disorder , Psychotherapy and Counselling , Rehabilitation Psychology , Community Mental Health and Computer Appliciation in Psychology .
