Applying for a Visa

The Provisional Admission letter shall be used for applying for the Student/ Research visa in the Indian Embassy in the applicant’s home country/country of residence. The visa must be endorsed in the name of the MJPRU. No other endorsement will be acceptable. For more information on visa requirements, please visit https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa/index.html

  • Student Visa: Student Visa endorsed for MJPRU is required for enrolment in Undergraduate Program, Post-Graduate Program, Certificate or Diploma Program, and M. Phil. Program.
  • Research Visa: Research Visa endorsed for MJPRU is required for enrolment in the Ph.D. Program.
  • No Admission will be granted on Tourist Visa/ X-Visa.

Arrival

All foreign students who receive a provisional admission letter from the DIR office for any program in the MJPRU should have a valid visa and bring all original documents to complete the admission process, without which no admission shall be granted. The visa must be endorsed in the name of the MJPRU. No other endorsement will be acceptable.

They should have adequate financial resources to cover their living expenses in Bareilly. For those who would be receiving scholarships from ICCR or other sources should also ensure that they have sufficient funds to cover expenses till such time that they receive the same.
