Punishment for Ragging



Depending on the severity and nature of the offence, any student found guilty of ragging may face one or more of the following punishments:

1. Verbal warning or written apology

2. Suspension from attending classes and academic privileges

3. Withholding of scholarships/fellowships or results.

4. Debarment from examinations or university events

5. Removal from hostel or campus accommodations

6. Cancellation of admission

7. Rustication from the university for a period ranging from one to four semesters

8. Permanent expulsion and ban from admission to any other institution Filing of FIR/legal action as per criminal law provisions



Note:

All actions are taken after thorough investigation by the Anti-Ragging Committee, and are aligned with the principles of natural justice.
